Woohooo! - Welcome to the Blue Mountains - thought I'd find something suitably grand for my day 100 pic. Wasn't too bad out there actually. Oh and I'll continue beyond 100 ... Kind of cool that this landscape is just 2hrs outside of Sydney by train.

That's a whole lot of rubber! They have this massive rubber band ball at our Blacktown branch, it has even got a name "Boom". Apparently it has grown over several years and even outlasted the managers at that branch. Hello Boom.

A wet day in Sydney - in fact it has been wet and cold ever since the pope left - go figure! Oh and you're not allowed to put your feet up here but that's no surprise :)

Mom is in town and they want me to head to the blue mountains next weekend - I can't think of anything more dreary .. ..

this looks good though i actually have the 'bigger' version here. I'm guessing the one in the apple store is newer though.

This is the bigger brother of the software you used to get a demo of when you bought your wacom graphire. It's catering for manga drawers but has some nifty features for B&W comic artists.

As a side note I now have Ubuntu 8.04.1 at work (seeing my Vista Dell died - hardware issue not s/w) anyway, I installed my Graphire on it - gimp makes for a nice graphics program. Felt really nice.

Dinner at Din Tai Fung - a large chain of dumpling restaurants. (by large I mean like ~30 places across around nine countries large). Not bad food - a little expensive but not bad.

Those "hotplates" are covers with 4 steam holes in them (about 1-2cm diameter) - nifty!

BTW: just checked the geocoding feature on SM - nearly there but not quiet - probably had to rely on cell phone tower triangulation so it's accurate to about 20m or so.

A cold Sunday in the bay. Quite an uneventful day today actually. Some uni study, but that's about it. You can see the general gray miserableness on Young street.

A wonderfully relaxed moment - you van clearly see that i had to swap my photo taking vs coffee drinking hand :) - Oh and one more thing - this was shot on my iPhone 3G which is on Threeeeeee woooo! (so no need to cancel and plan, and the phone was paid for =) )

Uhm yeah the apple/apricot crumble was mine too =) .. come on .. it's 2 pm and I haven't had any lunch ..

So this weekend was all about Friday's iPhone launch .. more precisely my inability to buy one because somehow I managed to enter a 24 month contract with Three that I cannot escape from and at this stage it's unknown if the unlocked iPhones (which are readily available) will work on Three's network.

I must have been insane, a 24 month contract for a phone that costs $160 - I wonder if I can plead insanity ?

So all in all EPIC FAIL.

Spent my entire day in Blacktown today .. was ok if a little tiring. Mind you I basically slept from 8 pm yesterday to this morning (though I was curiously awake at 4 am for a bit).

Still tomorrow is Brookvale and then Bondi on Friday (right after I get my iphone =) heheheh )
